I'm Aalaa, and since I was 5 years old, starting with announcements in my school (which helped me learn more about Black Lives Matter, Residential Schools for Canadian Indigenous Children, Anne Frank and Malala Yousafzai), helping in Annual Church BBQ and also packing lunches for children, I along with my brother Abdullah, sister Ayla and friends have been working together to make our communities strong, especially for the children. Children have so much imagination and creativity and we can make the world better. We also make video games to spread our message to the world, and our message is: "Let's make all of us great again."
Along with my siblings, we are the youngest Canadian radio show hosts. We are the youngest siblings to make video games. We siblings are the youngest self published authors. We are the youngest siblings to pitch our business idea in front of Dragon's Den Producers. I am also an honored participant of Canadian Space Agency's Junior Astronaut program. I am the youngest recipient of the Diploma in Local Democracy. I am the youngest member of the Mayor's Task Force on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). I am the Leader of the Community Engagement Subgroup. I was a Master of Ceremonies (MC) for Artshine Young@rt. I was also honored to be part of Waterloo Region's Women Municipal Campaign School.
I started 3 projects in my schools for which we secured full sponsorships. First when I was 8 years, I started a project called Judge Us By Your Senses of Taste and Sight. Second Project called Year of the Sight, Without All the Colors, the Eye cannot See the True Beauty in the World and Beyond the Stigma.
We also run Awareness Campaigns which include; #CANYOUTHVOTEMATTER & #CANMINORITYVOTEMATTER,
#DAMD (Daughters Against Marijuana Driving) and #DAHD (Daughters Against High Drivers). Making Our Schools Great Again - One Tablet One Student at a Time! and Making Canadian Kids Strong Again, One Kid, One Glass Of Milk At Time! We also support our Canadian Dairy Farmers and their families and support local businesses. We also sell cookies to raise money for the students in a Pakistani private school who are recovering from the tragic incident in 2014 in which inhumane terrorists killed 141 innocent students (mostly children) and wounded over 100 students (again, mostly children). The children who are recovering need medical attention and we are trying to help them by doing our part and seeking your assistance in this regard as well. This project is helping us to understand the importance of education and that we are part of our global community. We want the Pakistani children to always know that we are with them in their hour of need and we will never give in to the evil that threatens us all.
I am a Science Enthusiast. We like thinking out of the box and doing our own experiments.
I am also Co-Founder of Aalaa Conseil, a Non-Profit, we make characters, print them on T-shirts and sell them. We use part of the proceeds to help our and other community projects.
I am also learning Unreal Engine 4 and Blender, which are both 3D software, I am learning Mandarin Chinese. I am self taught. I like to write too, and I am currently working on my first novel, Sinking. "The Only Way To Grasp Reality Is To Fade From It". I want to be a scientist and a politician. I'd like to be a scientist because I can make things to help my community grow stronger specially for the children and a politician so I can make legislation which can help all of us even more. I also like to sing as well (especially for our veterans). I am also a member of KAYAK (A Youth Organization). I passionately work towards creating Awareness about Climate Change and we strongly believe that without the help of our Indigenous people we can never fully understand about Climate Change or why Mother Earth is so important to us all and our future generations and why we really need to protect it. I also like playing guitar.
